Dear Lila Fellows,

Hello girls. How are you? I am sure you are all doing well and having a great time.

I am writing this special letter to you all as we begin the preparations to celebrate “ A Decade of our existence” … yes, we have completed 10 years, and it gives me great joy to share with all of you the excitement that we have experienced, as this is a special year for all of us and we are going to have a lot of fun, meaningful activities, and many more things….during this year.
Our great planning began right after the last Award ceremony. The first meeting of all the trustees was held at the residence of Maya Thadhani, and as you all know her, she organized sumptuous snacks, chat, cakes, soup etc. But it was a great brainstorming session as many things emerged out of this meeting. Suggestions, arguments, excitement….. but at the end of it all, we came up with many wonderful activities, programs to make this 10th year a Most Memorable one. All subsequent meetings, which were hosted by Frenny Tarapore, Vasanta Ramaswamy were a mix bag… discussions, fighting, disagreements but the best results came out each time we had these meetings.
I am aware that you have been reading about the different programs we have organized so far thru the Inspira … so I won't bore you with that. So let us share with you all the preparations we are planning for the 10th Year Award Function.
As we are approaching the deadline of 30th July 2005…. the date of Award function, series of meetings are held by the coordination team. By the way, this function is totally planned and executed by the LF's under the guidance of Firoz Uncle. Suggestions for Food, venue décor, escorting the guests, stage management…. All that is being planned very meticulously. The LF coordination team has selected a beautiful sari as a uniform for themselves. And I am sure they all are going to look very nice.
Dr. Kiran Bedi is our Chief guest for the function and we are planning to release an audiocassette of her speech at the first award function in the year 1996. I am sure it will be a very motivating and inspiring for all.
Prof. Goran Grosskopf, who has been a well wisher and a friend of Lila & Firoz is coming especially for this function with his wife. And we are very touched by this gesture. The book which has been authored by Mita Banerjee on LF's, titled “ 21st Century Belongs to them” will be released Prof. Grosskopf. Another exciting event planned is the screening of a video, specially prepared for this event. The video will recollect the nostalgic moments of the past nine years award functions.
Hey, do you know that we will be meeting our esteemed and most loved President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at Rastrapati Bhavan in Delhi on the 1st August 2005? We will be presenting the copy of the book to him. And we all are excited about it.
Some of our Chief Guests are coming for the function. And it will be an honor to have them share our joy. A special issue of Inspira will be released at the function. The team has taken a lot of efforts to present innovative additions and I am sure you will enjoy it.

This postcard is also to let you know how much we will miss you on this special day!!
