CELEBRATING A DECADE OF EXISTENCE...

SPECIAL INSPIRA ISSUE

Lila Fellows are very fortunate in receiving encouragement and support in their quest for adding to their knowledge and skills. I am sure that they have made full use of the opportunities provided to them by the Foundation. It is, therefore, expected that they shall share their knowledge with others who are not as fortunate. Having expanded their own horizons, I am sure they are committed to contribute for the over all development of women in every field of life.”

"It is when we help a person to realize her dreams that we touch her life in a truly meaningful way. The Lila Poonawalla Foundation has been consistently changing the lives of deserving women over the past ten years by supporting them to pursue their dreams of a better education. Many women have found their voices thanks to the Foundation's helping hand. On this 10th Anniversary Year, my sincere congratulations to the hearts and minds that work together to support the Foundation. I wish Mrs. Poonawalla and her team the very best in reaching out to successive generations of women achievers.”

“Dear Friends,
It gives me immense pleasure to write to you on the occasion of a decade's completion of Lila Poonawalla Foundation and the overwhelming success of 'Inspira'. I wish to congratulate Mrs. Lila Poonawalla and her team for the accomplishment in leading women ahead.
Inspira has provided an excellent opportunity to promote friendship, mutual understanding, exchange of thoughts, experiences on various fronts, explore new avenues to meet the changing needs of the society and reach great heights in raising the global voice for women, to advance human rights and the status of women. Mohatarma Fatima Jinnah (Sister of Mohammed Ali Jinnah) had stated, “Women are the Custodians of a sacred trust: the best in the Cultural and Spiritual heritage of a nation.”
Your search should be for picking out positive points about women. Diligently your team should weave its way through acreages of women and catch specific happenings in a conscious bid to pick out every little ray of light, which goes to the credit of the courage and hope of the women. We have yet to draw a blank. There is always, somewhere along the road, the insignificant lead waiting to be explored. The women should rise, be proud and courageous, making a stand as living examples of destiny. These will be worth emulating, for the women of South East Asia are ravaged by illiteracy, want and the need for recognizing the dignity of women.”
